Transportation department seeks public comment on section of Idaho 75
BOISE - A public meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 8, to gather comment on proposed changes to Idaho 75 between Timber Way and the Big Wood River Bridge, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
The proposed changes include widening Idaho 75 to two lanes in each direction
with intermittent center turn bays for access to residences and businesses.
Other improvements will include bus turnouts, improved acceleration and
deceleration lanes and an improved signal at Hospital Drive.
The meeting is scheduled for June 8 from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Kentwood
Lodge in Ketchum, 180 Main St. South. Those interested in the project may drop
in anytime during the meeting to view displays and discuss the project with
transportation department staff and design team representatives. A hearing
officer also will be available for those interested in providing verbal
comments.
The proposed changes are in the design phase.
This is the first project to be developed as outlined in the Timmerman to Ketchum environmental impact statement that was completed in August 2008. The design elements are based on the Idaho 75 environmental impact statement concept plans.
