Overnight lane restrictions planned on I-84 between Ten Mile and Black Cat this week (June 21-25)
BOISE - A one-mile section of Interstate 84 will be restricted at night this week (June 21-24) while the Idaho Transportation Department moves guardrail between Ten Mile and Black Cat roads.

The inside westbound lane of I-84 will be closed from 10 p.m. today (Monday) to 5 a.m. Tuesday. The inside eastbound lane will be closed during the same hours Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

One lane will be closed in both directions Wednesday and Thursday nights.

The work is part of a project to build a new interchange with on- and off-ramps at I-84 and Ten Mile Road. The interchange is expected to be completed in 2011.

ITD and the Idaho State Police caution motorists to slow down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or interstate system.
