Vista Avenue will shift into a new configuration Thursday night (June 24)
BOISE - Motorists can expect delays on Vista Avenue overnight Thursday (June 24) for a traffic switch. The Idaho Transportation Department will shift Vista Avenue traffic into a new configuration which will be in place for several weeks while ITD reconstructs the southbound lanes.

One lane in each direction will be open on Vista Avenue from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Flaggers will direct traffic onto the east side of the interchange.

Please check ITD's Facebook page here for a map of the new configuration.

ITD is widening Vista Avenue and adding curb, gutter and sidewalk. The work is part of the Vista Interchange reconstruction project, which will be completed early this fall.

ITD and the Idaho State Police caution motorists to slow down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or interstate system.
