Public meeting Wednesday (July 7) in Declo to discuss proposed materials source
SHOSHONE - Area residents and organizations are encouraged to attend an open house on Wednesday (July 7) to discuss a proposed roadway materials source near the town of Declo, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
Transportation department staff will be on hand to explain the proposed site and its use, answer questions, and gather public comments from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the City of Declo office, 8 North Clark.
The meeting is intended to provide information about developing a non-commercial materials site located on Bureau of Land Management-administered property southeast of Declo. Among topics to be discussed will be the transfer of land, specific uses and access to adjacent federally administered property.
The preliminary survey test results of the site indicate that the material meets the specifications for construction and preservation of ITD-maintained roadways. Additional testing is required to fully establish the viability of the site.
For more information about the meeting or site specifics, contact ITD source manager Phillip White at (208) 886-7841.
