Public invited to Sept. 21 open house for the Salmon Falls Bridge Project
SHOSHONE An open house meeting to discuss the Salmon Falls Bridge Project will be held between 5 and 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at the Salmon River Canal Co. office, 2700 Highway 93 in Hollister.  The Idaho Transportation Department and the Twin Falls Highway District are partnering on this project.

The Salmon Falls Bridge Project proposes a new bridge and approaches to replace the existing Jarbidge/Three Creek Road crossing on the privately owned Salmon Falls Dam. At the meeting, five alternatives will be presented that satisfy current user needs, address safety concerns, and support land uses throughout this remote area. Input to help develop alternatives has come from the local project advisory committee, area landowners, adjacent communities, affected agencies and roadway users.

This meeting is part of the overall planning and environmental process being conducted according to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).  Public comments will be considered as alternatives are screened to determine the most feasible alignment and bridge concept design.

Representatives from the Idaho Transportation Department, the Twin Falls Highway District, and the project consultant team will be at the meeting to answer questions.
