I-84 restrictions will continue throughout July between Cole and Broadway interchanges
BOISE - The Idaho Transportation Department asks motorists to expect intermittent lane restrictions until July 31 as crews continue to widen I-84 in east Boise.
One east- and westbound lane will be closed in both directions at night (10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on weeknights, and 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. on weekends) between the Cole and Broadway interchanges.
ITD is widening the interstate to four lanes in both directions between the Cole and Broadway interchanges.
The speed limit will be 55 mph during the day and 45 mph during nighttime lane restrictions.
A width restriction of 14 feet is in effect.
ITD and the Idaho State Police caution motorists to slow
down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding
fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and
dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or
interstate system.
