TWIN FALLS - Through traffic on both North College Road and Washington Street will experience closures on Thursday as part of the reconstruction project on Washington Street, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
North College Road will be closed to traffic between Washington and Fillmore streets beginning at 7 a.m. on Thursday. The daytime work will be followed by closure of the Washington Street/North College Road intersection on Thursday night. The closure will continue through Friday morning.
Beginning at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Washington Street will be closed to through traffic between Falls Avenue and Cheney Drive. North College Road will be closed between Blake Street and the College of Southern Idaho's north entrance. The closure will extend through 7 a.m. on Friday.
Through traffic should use Blue Lakes Boulevard. Access to residences and the north CSI entrance will remain open.
Crews will install and relocate underground pipes for the storm water system and city water lines, and place conduit for the new traffic signal. The closures will allow crews to complete the work more quickly and safely.
