Twin Falls' Airport Road opening this week
TWIN FALLS - The reconstruction of Airport Road, south of Twin Falls, is expected to be complete this week, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

The project completes about 1.4 miles of roadway and a new bridge over the Low Line Canal, beginning at the intersection of Idaho 74/3600 North Road south toward the Magic Valley Regional Airport. It is the second stage of reconstructing the roadway from the Magic Valley Regional Airport to Idaho 74.

Stage one of the road work, which constructed a bridge over the High Line Canal and about a mile of roadway, was completed in 2006. Work on stage two began in November.

Knife River, of Boise, is the contractor for the $2.4 million project that is sponsored by the Twin Falls Highway District. ITD is the administrator for the federally funded project.
