Vista Avenue to be restricted today and Friday
The Idaho Transportation Department advises that work is now under way and will continue through 4 p.m. as northbound traffic on Vista Avenue is reduced to one lane between the Airport Way/Wright Street intersection and the Vista Avenue bridge.
On Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., north- and southbound traffic will be reduced to one lane between the Sunrise Rim/Elder Street intersection and Wright Street/Airport Way intersection.
The center islands provide a barrier and are a more visible division between north- and southbound traffic. They also prevent illegal left turns.
ITD and the Idaho State Police caution motorists to slow
down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding
fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and
dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or
interstate system.
