UPDATE: I-84 westbound on-ramp at Declo Interchange to be closed Tuesday
BURLEY - Roadway reconstruction at the Declo Interchange (Exit 216) was postponed from today (Friday, Aug. 6) and is now rescheduled to take place on Tuesday (Aug. 10), the Idaho Transportation Department announced. Crews will pulverize and begin roadway rehabilitation of the westbound on-ramp, closing the ramp to traffic.

Only the westbound on-ramp will be closed while crews complete the work. Exit 216, a primary access to Declo and the east side of Rupert, will be closed from approximately 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday.

Westbound traffic will be required to enter I-84 at the Burley Interchange (Exit 208). Eastbound on- and off-ramps will remain open during this portion of the construction project.

The closure is part of an approximately 15-mile, full-width rehabilitation project of I-84 between mileposts 207 and 222.

Knife River Corporation Northwest of Boise is the contractor for the section between the Burley and Declo interchanges (milepost 207 to 216) at a cost of $12.8 million and includes the bridge work at the Heyburn Overpass Interchange (exit 211).
