Construction on Idaho 28 about 10 miles north of Leadore starts today (Monday, Aug. 16)
RIGBY - Idaho 28 about 10 miles north of Leadore will be reduced to one lane starting today (Monday, Aug. 16) for culvert work, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
Crews will replace two culverts that channel the Little Spring Creek under Idaho 28. The culverts are located half a mile apart between milepost 100 and 101.
The road will be reduced to a single lane, and the speed limit through the construction zone will be reduced to 45 miles per hour. Vehicles using this section of Idaho 28 will take turns using the open lane.
Drivers are advised to watch for construction workers and equipment. Portable traffic signs will direct traffic through the project area. Motorists can expect delays of less than 5 minutes.
The project is scheduled for completion Sept. 24.
