I-84 restrictions will continue in August between Cole and Broadway interchanges
BOISE - Intermittent night-time lane restrictions will continue through Aug. 26 on I-84 in east Boise, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

One east- and westbound lane will be closed in both directions overnight (10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on weeknights, and 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. on weekends) between the Cole and Broadway interchanges.

Crews will be preparing the road for a westbound I-84 traffic shift on Aug. 27 and removing old striping near the Cole/Overland Interchange.

ITD is widening the interstate to four lanes in each direction between the Cole and Broadway interchanges.

The speed limit is 55 miles per hour, and a width restriction of 14 feet is in effect.

ITD and the Idaho State Police caution motorists to slow down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or interstate system.
