Maintenance work on Addison Avenue in Twin Falls on Thursday
TWIN FALLS - Drivers will need to use caution Thursday because one lane of Addison Avenue, between Washington Street and Blue Lakes Boulevard, will be closed throughout the day, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
Workers will seal cracks on the roadway, which carries U.S. 93 traffic through Twin Falls. The crack-seal operation is being done in preparation for a chip-seal coat scheduled to take place next week.
This is a mobile operation with crews using just a portion of the road. Only one lane is expected to be closed at a time. Drivers are asked to use caution and be patient when traveling through the area.
ITD and the Idaho State Police caution motorists to slow down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or interstate system.
