Del Rio Bridge east of St. Anthony to remain closed through Wednesday (Aug. 25)
RIGBY ‑ The Del Rio Bridge on the U.S. 20 business loop east of St. Anthony will remain closed through Wednesday (Aug. 25), the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
The bridge closed Monday (Aug. 16) for repairs and initially was scheduled to reopen by Friday evening (Aug. 20). Crews are filling holes and resurfacing the bridge deck to improve the riding surface.
After the project began, crews found that needed repairs were more extensive than anticipated. Work now is expected to be complete and the bridge reopened to traffic by early Thursday morning (Aug. 26).
Motorists should consider taking an alternative route to travel between North St. Anthony and 2600 East in Fremont County.
Drivers are asked to drive carefully and obey all traffic signs.
