New lane configuration near the I-84 Cole/Overland Interchange
The two far-right lanes are now Exit Only lanes. The other three lanes continue through toward Eagle and Meridian. Click here to access ITD's Facebook page and a map of the new lane configuration.
Crews recently added a fourth westbound lane on I-84. The fourth lane was added to accommodate an upcoming traffic shift on Aug. 27.
ITD is widening the interstate to four lanes in both directions between the Cole and Broadway interchanges.
The speed limit is 55 mph.
ITD and the Idaho State Police caution motorists to slow
down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding
fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and
dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or
interstate system.
