Lane closures will continue tonight, Tuesday night (Aug. 23, 24) at Vista Interchange
Vista Avenue and both intersections (Elder Street/Sunrise Rim and Airport Way/Wright Street) will be reduced to one lane in each direction tonight (Monday, Aug. 23) and Tuesday overnight (Aug. 24). Flaggers will direct traffic each night from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
The Idaho Transportation Department recently reconstructed the interchange to improve safety and capacity. Minor construction activities will continue until September.
Central Paving Inc. is the contractor for the $17.8 million project.
ITD and the Idaho State Police caution motorists to slow
down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding
fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and
dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or
interstate system.
