UPDATE: I-84 ramp closures at Heyburn interchange Saturday through Wednesday
BURLEY - Closures for Interstate 84 westbound on- and off-ramps at the  Heyburn Interchange (Exit 211) are planned this weekend and early next week as part of a pavement rehabilitation project, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

Reconstruction of the westbound off-ramp at the Heyburn Interchange is scheduled for Saturday through Monday (Aug. 28-30). The on-ramp is scheduled for closure Monday through Wednesday (Aug. 30-Sept. 1). Crews will construct the roadway base and pave the ramps during the closures, which should occur from approximately 6 a.m. through 8 p.m. each day.

Drivers are encouraged to watch for signs that indicate when the access ramps are closed. Detours are recommended using the Burley Interchange (Exit 208) or Declo Interchange (Exit 216).

The closures are part of a full-width I-84 rehabilitation project between mileposts 207 and 222.

Knife River Corporation Northwest of Boise is the contractor for the segment between the Burley and Declo interchanges (milepost 207 to 216) at a cost of $12.8 million.

ITD and the Idaho State Police caution motorists to slow down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or interstate system.
