Orchard Street will be restricted on Monday (Sept. 13) near I-84
BOISE - The Orchard Street bridge will be reduced to two lanes in both directions from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday (Sept. 13), the Idaho Transportation Department announced. Crews will be sealing a joint in the concrete bridge deck.

 

Flaggers will direct traffic during the work. The I-84 ramps will be open at all times.

 

The Orchard Interchange was reconstructed in the spring of 2010. The project included replacing the old five-lane bridge with an eight-lane bridge over I-84.

ITD and the Idaho State Police advise motorists to slow down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or interstate system.
