Paving project in south Hailey beginning Tuesday
HAILEY - A rough section of Idaho 75 is due to get a facelift this week with a maintenance project at the north end of the Friedman Memorial Airport, the Idaho Transportation Department announced. Drivers should be prepared for delays and temporary closures to local streets during the project.
Crews will begin milling the roadway before completing an overlay paving operation on Idaho 75 between Fox Acres Road and Airport Way beginning Tuesday (Sept. 21). Work is expected to take about a week to complete.
During the road work, Idaho 75 will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Drivers should watch for flaggers and be prepared for delays of as much as 15 minutes. Closure of intersecting city streets will take place for short periods during the milling operation and for multiple hours during paving. Drivers are encouraged to find alternate routes if possible. Crews will be working daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Drivers are encouraged to use caution when driving through the work zone and while the surface is grooved.
Valley Paving of Bellevue is the contractor for the $135,000 project.
