Nightly I-84 restrictions will continue near Ten Mile Interchange this week and next
BOISE - Just one lane of east- and westbound Interstate 84 will be open at night near the Ten Mile Interchange for the next few weeks (Sept. 22-Oct. 1), the Idaho Transportation Department announced. Lane restrictions will occur between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. each night. No restrictions are planned for Friday and Saturday nights (Sept. 24-25). The Ten Mile Interchange contractor is removing part of the falsework structure that supports the new interchange during construction. When the interchange opens in summer 2011, it will help relieve congestion at the Garrity and Meridian interchanges and the local road network. ITD and the Idaho State Police caution motorists to slow down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or interstate system.
