ITD employee dies in collision
RIGBY ‑ Jonathan Prahasto, an Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) maintenance worker, died this morning in a head‑on collision with a semi-truck on U.S. 20 north of Ashton.
Prahasto, 55, was traveling southbound in a one‑ton ITD truck when the two vehicles collided south of the Ashton Bridge. Idaho State Police continue to investigate the accident.
A resident of Island Park, Prahasto worked for the transportation department for 16 years. He was based at the Island Park maintenance shed.
"We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss," said District 6 Engineer Blake Rindlisbacher. "Jonathan was a dedicated worker who gave his life in service to the state of Idaho. I want to express our heart-felt condolences to Jonathan's family on behalf of all of his friends and co-workers at ITD."
