I-84 reconstruction near complete, Snake River bridge work beginning
BURLEY -  Reconstruction of about 15 miles of Interstate 84 between Burley and the Interstate 86 junction is nearing completion, the Idaho Transportation Department announced, but additional maintenance work on the westbound Snake River bridge near the Declo Interchange is also beginning.

Drivers should continue to use caution throughout the I-84 rehabilitation project between milepost 207 to 222 as crews complete final work. Drivers may encounter short lane closures until all work is complete. The speed continues to be reduced to 65 mph for the entire construction zone.

While the major work is concluding, maintenance work to repair the road deck on the west-bound Snake River bridge at milepost 216 is beginning. Traffic in each direction will be reduced to one lane on the eastbound Snake River bridge for about one mile from milepost 215.5 to 216.5. A 65-mph speed limit and 12-foot width restriction will be in place for through traffic.

Traffic entering I-84 at the Declo Interchange (Exit 216) going west will be restricted to a 10-foot width restriction as it crosses the westbound bridge next to the bridge work.

The bridge work was added to the I-84 rehabilitation contract with Knife River Corporation Northwest, of Boise. The bridge work is expected to be completed in early December.
