Northbound Interstate 15 on-ramp at Exit 58 to be closed Oct. 18-22
POCATELLO - Maintenance work will require closure of an Interstate 15 on-ramp about 10 miles south of Pocatello beginning Monday (Oct. 18), the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
The northbound on-ramp will close at about 8 a.m. and remain closed until late Friday (Oct. 22) while ITD crews replace a cattle guard. The new cattle guard will be wider than its predecessor, enabling a better and safer turning radius for semi trucks and trailers.
Motorists who normally would use the on-ramp at Exit 58 to access northbound I-15 will be directed to a county road (Old Highway 191), which parallels the interstate. The alternate route will enable traffic to get on the interstate at Exit 63, about five miles north.
