Travelers in eastern Idaho advised to drive with caution
EASTERN IDAHO -
Travelers are advised to drive with extreme caution in the Interstate 15
corridor, particularly the 20-mile stretch between Blackfoot and Idaho Falls,
the Idaho Transportation Department cautions.
The highway floor has very icy spots in many locations and packed snow with low
visibility in others. Law enforcement and transportation department officials
report multiple slide-offs in the area.
For
current highway and weather conditions throughout the state, access the Idaho
Traveler Services Web site at 511.idaho.gov or dial 5‑1‑1 from phones within
Idaho. For out‑of‑state travelers, the toll‑free number for Idaho's 511
Traveler Services system is (888) 432‑7623. Reports are updated as conditions
change.
