I-84 Declo interchange westbound on-ramp to be closed Tuesday
BURLEY - Crews are nearing completion of bridge maintenance on the westbound Interstate 84 Snake River bridge near the Declo interchange, but will need to close lanes to remove the temporary traffic control. The Exit 216 westbound on-ramp will be closed on Tuesday (Dec. 14) to remove temporary guardrail across the bridge, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
Once removal of the protective concrete barrier and bridge cleaning is finished, traffic will be allowed across the bridge. Temporary lane closures may be necessary through the end of the week as crews finish the project. All lanes will be opened to both east- and westbound traffic as soon as possible after the project is complete.
During Tuesday's closure, motorists who wish to access I-84 will be detoured from Exit 216 through Rupert via Idaho 25 and Idaho 24 to the Heyburn Interchange at Exit 211.
