Overnight I-84 restrictions between Cole/Overland and Broadway begin tonight
BOISE -  Interstate 84 motorists can expect overnight lane restrictions between the Cole/Overland and Broadway interchanges tonight, Sunday and Monday nights (Dec. 16, 19 and 20).  The Idaho Transportation Department will repair the eastbound pavement and install nighttime reflectors.

All of this work is weather dependent.

Tonight, westbound ramp traffic will be restricted to one lane from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

In addition, the eastbound right lane of I-84 will be restricted to one lane from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each of the three nights.

The restrictions are part of a project to widen I-84 to eight lanes between the Cole and Broadway interchanges. Construction is expected to be completed in summer 2011.

For Incident Response service on I-84 or the Connector (I-184) in the Treasure Valley, please call Idaho State Police Dispatch at 846-7500 or *ISP. Incident Response can assist motorists with flat tires, dead batteries, vehicles out of gas, radiator re-fills, calling a tow truck or use of a cell phone.

ITD and the Idaho State Police caution motorists to slow down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or interstate system.
