Idaho 55 reopened to traffic
BOISE - Idaho 55 has been reopened to traffic as of 4 p.m. today (Sept. 27), the Idaho Transportation Department announced. Valley County, Idaho State Police and Boise Police Department investigators determined the object found under the bridge earlier in the day was not a threat to the traveling public or the structure.
The road was closed about 9:30 a.m. because a crew doing a routine bridge inspection discovered an unidentified object on the underside of the structure. Following safety precautions, law enforcement was contacted to investigate.
