I-84 will be restricted overnight between Cole/Overland and Broadway this week
BOISE - East- and westbound motorists can expect overnight lane restrictions on I-84 between the Cole and Broadway interchanges tonight and tomorrow (Tuesday and Wednesday, Jan. 18 and 19).
Tonight (Jan. 18), westbound I-84 will be restricted to one lane between the Orchard and Cole/Overland interchanges from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Wednesday (Jan. 19), eastbound I-84 will be restricted to one lane between the Vista and Broadway interchanges from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
The contractor will be finishing drains and repairing sections of the roadway.
All work is weather dependent.
The restrictions are part of a project to widen I-84 to eight lanes between the Cole and Broadway interchanges. Construction is expected to be completed in summer 2011.
NOTE: The Idaho Transportation Department is in charge of all roads within the state highway system - interstates, state highways and U.S. routes. All other roads are the responsibility of the local city or county entity.
