Motorists can expect lane shifts and restrictions on Garrity Boulevard near interchange
BOISE - Motorists can expect lane configuration changes during the day and overnight lane restrictions on Garrity Boulevard near the interchange while crews work on the I-84 eastbound bridge deck.

Starting Friday (Feb. 11) lanes will be shifted under the I-84 Garrity Interchange bridge intermittently as crews work on different sides of the bridge. During the day, two lanes southbound and one lane northbound will remain open on Garrity under the bridge. These configuration changes are expected to last a couple of weeks.

However, drivers beneath the bridge will be restricted to one lane in each direction overnight between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., Monday (Feb. 14) through Wednesday night (Feb. 16).

Concrete Placing Co. Inc., of Boise, is the contractor on this $15 million project.

For Incident Response service on I-84 or the Connector (I-184) in the Treasure Valley, please call Idaho State Police Dispatch at 846-7500 or *ISP. Incident Response can assist motorists with flat tires, dead batteries, vehicles out of gas, radiator re-fills, calling a tow truck, or use of a cell phone.

ITD and the Idaho State Police caution motorists to slow down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or interstate system.
