I-84 slab repair near Glenns Ferry to begin this spring
BOISE - A project to repair deteriorating concrete slabs on the east- and westbound lanes of Interstate 84 near Glenns Ferry is scheduled for this spring, the Idaho Transportation Department announced. The work is expected to last for about three months.
This
pavement maintenance project will extend from milepost 114 east to Glenns Ferry
(about seven miles), and is expected to begin about April. A rolling work zone
will be maintained during the project, which will only impact traffic for a
maximum of two miles at a time. Traffic will not be shifted to the
other side of the freeway.

Several
badly damaged concrete slabs in that stretch will be removed and replaced.
Repairs also will include resealing pavement joints, repairing pavement cracks
and chips, and grinding portions from the existing pavement surface.
