Avalanche closes section of Idaho 21
BOISE - The 12-mile stretch of Idaho 21 between the
Grandjean Junction and Banner Summit closed this morning (Tuesday, April 5) at about 7:30 due to avalanche danger, the
Idaho Transportation Department announced.

The avalanche hazard is deemed "considerable." Rainfall in the area is causing increased snowpack instability. Avalanche conditions and weather forecasts will be monitored, with possible reopening assessed late this afternoon.
