Emergency road repairs will reduce U.S. 2 east of Priest River to one lane
COEUR D'ALENE - State maintenance crews are working today (Tuesday, April 19) to repair damage to U.S. 2 at milepost 16 (between Campbell Point Road and Wrenco Loop Road) due to undermining of the road bed from an unseasonably wet spring, according to the Idaho Transportation Department.
The highway has been reduced to one lane. Flaggers will guide traffic through the work zone. Motorists can expect delays of up to 15 minutes through at least the next 24 hours.
ITD and the Idaho State Police caution motorists to slow down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for updated information on this ongoing repair work.
