Realignment project on Albion Hill includes a vehicle width restriction
SHOSHONE - A realignment project on Idaho 77 (mileposts 18-23), from the intersection of 500 South Road to the Albion city limits, will require a vehicle width restriction of 12 feet, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
Vehicles wider than 12 feet will be required to detour around the work areas,
using Idaho 81 from Declo to Malta, and then Idaho 77 from Malta to Albion.
The project includes excavation and blasting of the hillside. Flaggers
will be used periodically, and motorists should expect delays of up to 10
minutes.
Debco Construction Co. of Orfino is the contractor for this $6 million project that is scheduled to be completed October. It will create a safer roadway by straightening sub-standard curves, widening the pavement to accommodate farm equipment, and reducing snow drifts.
