Work to begin Monday on intersection improvement in Pocatello
BOISE - Work on an intersection improvement project in Pocatello is expected to begin Monday (May 2) if weather allows, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

This project, expected to last through the middle of July, will realign lanes from Garrett Way (U.S. 30) westbound to Hawthorne Road northbound. A new traffic signal also will be added at Alameda Road and Hawthorne Road to improve traffic flow.

During the work, lane width will be restricted to 10 feet. There will be intermittent lane closures, traffic shifts and flagging, especially during the signalization work. Crews will work 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Mickelsen Construction, Blackfoot, is the contractor on this $765,000 project.
