Traffic shift on Washington Street begins Tuesday
TWIN FALLS - Traffic on Washington Street will be narrowed to two lanes beginning Tuesday (May 3) for the remainder of the week and will close some accesses, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

All traffic will be shifted onto the southbound lanes of Washington Street between Caswell Avenue and North College Road as crews work on the median. The west entrance to the College of Southern Idaho campus as well as business and residential accesses south of Falls Avenue will be closed during this traffic shift.

Drivers are asked to find an alternate route if possible to avoid delays. Additional lane closures will take place over the next few weeks as crews prepare for major reconstruction of the northbound lanes south of Falls Avenue.

DEBCO Construction, of Orofino, is the contractor for the federally funded, $6.5 million project, which is sponsored by the city of Twin Falls and administered by ITD.
