Utility work at Pole Line Road and Fillmore Street may lead to traffic delays
SHOSHONE - Utility companies will relocate equipment at Pole Line Road and Fillmore Street beginning Thursday (Oct. 27) as part of the U.S. 93 Twin Falls Alternate Route project, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

Flaggers will direct traffic through the intersection. Some lane closures should be expected along with delays of up to 10 minutes. The use of alternate routes is encouraged.

Motorists are reminded to slow down in highway construction zones. Rear-end collisions account for most work zone crashes. Following too close, inattentive driving, failing to yield the right of way and improper lane changes also contribute to accidents in work zones.

This relocation work is all part of the $18.8 million first stage of constructing the alternate route. The initial stage should be complete by mid- November. Western Construction of Boise is the project contractor.
