Lane restrictions on I-84 in Karcher Interchange project area on Nov. 6, 7, 9
NAMPA - Lane restrictions will be required on Interstate 84 in Nampa west of the sugar beet factory on Sunday (Nov. 6), Monday night (Nov. 7) and Wednesday night (Nov. 9) as part of the Karcher Interchange construction project, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

On Sunday, one lane will be closed in each direction beginning at 7 a.m. The lanes will reopen by 4 p.m. The closure will allow crews to move equipment into the project area.

On Monday, the eastbound right lane will close at 10 p.m. and reopen by 5 a.m. Tuesday so crews can set guardrail.

On Wednesday, one lane will be closed in each direction at 10 p.m. and reopen by 5 a.m. Thursday so crews can move rebar.

A speed limit reduction to 55 mph will be in effect until the project is complete in winter 2006. Crews will work frequently on the interstate as part of the project.

In the area where the speed limit is reduced, there also will be short stretches of the interstate where shoulder widths may be narrowed or eliminated to provide crews a work zone.
