Railroad crossing upgrade planned on Idaho 7 near Orofino beginning June 20
OROFINO – A project to upgrade a railroad crossing on Idaho 7 north of Orofino is scheduled to begin Monday (June 20), the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
ITD crews will provide traffic control for the BG&CM Railroad to improve the crossing and make it smoother for vehicles. Construction is expected to take about four days and finish late on June 23.
Railroad crews will work on one-half of the crossing at a time during daylight hours. The railroad crossing is between mileposts 4 and 5.
Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling through the construction zone and watch for flaggers.
