Construction on Idaho 75 southwest of Challis started Monday (June 20)
RIGBY - Construction on Idaho 75 southwest of Challis started Monday, June 20, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
Crews began crack sealing a 10-mile section of Idaho 75 between the Yankee Fork Ranger Station and East Fork Bridge. The bridge is 18 miles southwest of Challis.
Motorists can expect delays. Travel will be reduced to one lane, with flaggers directing traffic through the work zone.
Work is expected to take place between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., Mondays through Fridays. Crack sealing is scheduled for completion July 1, with paving scheduled after Labor Day.
Motorists should watch for construction workers and equipment and obey all traffic signs.
The transportation department awarded HK Contractors Inc., of Idaho Falls, the $2.1 million contract.
