Eastbound I-84 between the Vista and Broadway interchanges will be closed Tuesday night (June 28)
BOISE – Eastbound Interstate 84 between the Vista and Broadway interchanges will be closed from 10 p.m. Tuesday (June 28) to 5 a.m. Wednesday (June 29) while new signs are installed.
The Idaho Transportation Department advises motorists wanting to exit I-84 at Broadway Avenue that they must exit early at the Vista Interchange. Traffic will be directed south on Vista Avenue, east on Airport Way, south on Development Avenue and east on Commerce Avenue to Broadway.
Travelers heading eastbound on I-84 to access the Boise Airport can still exit at the Vista Interchange. Travelers heading eastbound from the Boise Airport will need to follow the detour.
A map of the detour is available here.
Tuesday is the first of three nighttime detours on eastbound I-84 this week. All lanes of westbound I-84 will be open.
The schedule is dependent on weather. Travelers are encouraged to check 511.Idaho.gov or dial 5-1-1 for updated information.
The detours are part of a project to widen I-84 to four lanes in both directions between Broadway and Cole/Overland. The project is scheduled for completion this summer.
