Eastbound I-84 between the Orchard and Vista interchanges will be closed Wednesday night (June 29)
BOISE – Eastbound I-84 between the Orchard and Vista interchanges will be closed from 10 p.m. Wednesday (June 29) to 5 a.m. Thursday (June 30) while new signs are installed on I-84.
Motorists who want to exit I-84 at Vista Avenue must exit early at the Orchard Interchange. Traffic will be directed south on Orchard Street, east on Wright Street and north on Vista Avenue.
Travelers heading eastbound on I-84 to access the Boise Airport will need to exit at the Orchard Interchange and follow the detour. Travelers heading eastbound away from the Boise Airport can access I-84 at the Vista Interchange on-ramp.

All lanes of westbound I-84 will be open.
The schedule is dependent on weather. Travelers are encouraged to check 511.Idaho.gov or dial 5-1-1 for updated information.
The detours are part of a project to widen I-84 to four lanes in both directions between Broadway and Cole/Overland. The project is scheduled for completion this summer.
