Eastbound I-84 between the Cole/Overland and Orchard interchanges will be closed Thursday night (June 30)
BOISE – Eastbound Interstate 84 between the Cole/Overland and Orchard interchanges will be closed from 10 p.m. Thursday (June 30) to 5 a.m. Friday (July 1) while the Idaho Transportation Department installs signs over I-84.
The closure is the last in a series of I-84 closures this week.
Motorists will be directed to exit eastbound I-84 at the Cole/Overland Interchange and head south on Cole Road, east on Victory Road and north on Orchard Street. The eastbound on-ramp at Orchard Street will remain open.
A detour map is available here.
All lanes will be open on westbound I-84.
Drivers are encouraged to call 5-1-1 or check 511.idaho.gov and leave early to reach their destinations on time. The work will be rescheduled in the case of inclement weather.
ITD is widening I-84 to four lanes in both directions between Cole/Overland and Broadway. The project is scheduled for completion in summer 2011.
