Eastbound I-84 lane restrictions will end Friday morning (July 1) near Ten Mile Interchange
MERIDIAN – Good news for holiday travelers! After a two-week restriction for paving, all three lanes of eastbound Interstate 84 at the new Ten Mile Interchange will be open in time for the Fourth of July weekend.
The Idaho Transportation Department will re-open the outside eastbound lane by 5 a.m. Friday (July 1). The lane has been closed continuously since June 18.
ITD brought in additional paving equipment to accelerate the schedule and reduce impacts to the traveling public.
The outside westbound lane closed Monday morning and will re-open in late July.
The work is part of the I-84, Ten Mile Interchange construction project. The $33.8 million project is on schedule for a summer completion.
Idaho Sand & Gravel Co. is the contractor.
