U.S. 95 seal coat operation to begin Wednesday morning near Culdesac
LEWISTON - Motorists traveling on U.S. 95 between Culdesac and the Spalding Bridge south of Lewiston should expect minor delays beginning Wednesday because of a seal coat project, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

Pilot cars and flaggers will direct traffic on one-lane segments of the 14-mile project, between mileposts 291 and 304. Crews will begin Wednesday at 8 a.m. near Culdesac and work north.

After the seal coat is applied, the highway will be broomed to remove loose gravel that remains. Brooming will begin in the evening and continue until 4 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday, and from midnight to 4 a.m. on Friday.

The speed limit will be reduced to 35 mph in the work zone, and motorists should expect delays of up to 15 minutes.

Knife River Corp. Northwest is the contractor on the $860,000 project that helps preserve and extend the life of the highway.
