Lane restrictions on I-84 in Karcher Interchange project area on Sunday (Nov. 13); traffic shift will result
NAMPA - Motorists will encounter lane restrictions for the Karcher Interchange project on Interstate 84 west of the sugar beet factory on Sunday (Nov. 13), the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

One lane will be closed in each direction beginning at 8 a.m. The lanes will reopen by 8 p.m.

The closure will allow crews to restripe the westbound lanes in the area to provide a work zone for the Karcher Interchange construction project.

The restriping will shift westbound traffic to the right and will eliminate the roadway shoulder in that area. The traffic shift will be in effect for a few months. Eastbound traffic will not be affected.

The speed limit in the project area has been reduced to 55 mph until the project is complete in late 2006.
