UPDATE: Golf Course Road traffic signal installation delayed
JEROME – The start of a project to install a new traffic signal at the intersection of U.S. 93 and Golf Course Road north of the Perrine Bridge has been delayed for a couple weeks, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
The work has been delayed from its original start date of July 6 due to late delivery of several key components for the signal, including the signal poles. The beginning of the signal installation could be delayed by as much as a month until the delivery date is known for certain.
The signal project, which is being installed to address increased traffic volumes and crashes, will take about a month to install once crews begin work. The intersection will include an additional northbound turn lane onto Golf Course Road and widening on Golf Course Road.
Gordon Paving Inc., of Twin Falls, is the contractor for the $985,000 federally funded project.
