Slab repairs on eastbound I-84 continue through Aug. 25
BOISE - Idaho Transportation Department maintenance crews are repairing badly deteriorated concrete slabs on eastbound Interstate 84 between the Meridian Interchange and Flying Wye. The work started yesterday (Tuesday, Aug. 2) and should be finished by Aug. 25.
Crews are doing slab repairs and crack sealing the surface from milepost 44 to 47 (starting from just east of the Meridian Interchange and working toward Boise).
The two outside lanes are closed for the work in that stretch. Crews are working a Tuesday-through-Thursday schedule from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. They are working outside of the morning and evening commute times to reduce the impact to drivers in this heavily traveled area.
