U.S. 95 between Grangeville and Cottonwood to receive seal coat beginning Monday
GRANGEVILLE - A nine-mile segment of U.S. 95 between Grangeville and Cottonwood will receive a full-width seal coat beginning Monday (Aug. 15) and continuing through Thursday, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
The project will be between mileposts 242 and 251, from the Grangeville junction to the beginning of concrete pavement south of Cottonwood. Work is planned during daylight hours, from about 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with brooming operations scheduled at night.
Flaggers and a pilot car will guide traffic through the work zone. The speed limit will be reduced to 35 mph to limit windshield damage.
Motorists should expect delays of 15 minutes and might want to schedule trips during non-construction hours.
Knife River is the contractor for the $450,000 seal-coat project that is designed to protect and extend the life of the highway surface and improve vehicle traction.
