UPDATE: Eastbound eastbound I-84 slab repairs finished, westbound work near Eagle Road interchange tomorrow
BOISE - Idaho Transportation Department maintenance crews completed repairs to badly deteriorated concrete slabs on eastbound Interstate 84 between the Meridian Interchange and Flying Wye today (Tuesday, Aug. 30).
To finish the project, there will be similar slab repairs to westbound I-84 between the Eagle Road Interchange overpass structure and on-ramp tomorrow (Wednesday, Aug. 31) between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Crews are working outside of the morning and evening commute times to reduce the impact to drivers in this heavily traveled area.
The two right-hand lanes in that section will be closed during the work tomorrow.
On the eastbound side, crews had been doing slab repairs and crack sealing the surface starting from just east of the Meridian Interchange and working toward Boise. The work started Aug. 2.
