REMINDER: Driving recommendations offered for Mountain Home Air Show
BOISE - Here are recommendations for drivers traveling to the Mountain Home Air Show – Gunfighter Skies – this weekend. Event organizers anticipate about 80,000 attendees over the two days of the event, Saturday and Sunday (Sept. 17 and 18).
Here is a map
of the three suggested entrance/exit routes, which depend on
destination and direction of travel. The entrance used by the driver
also will be the exit he or she should use in planning the return trip.
Also,
in time for the event, the Idaho Transportation Department has raised
the speed limit to 65 mph on a 12-mile stretch of Interstate 84 east of
Boise that is under construction.
Questions about Gunfighter
Skies or the entrance/exit routes should be directed to 2nd Lt. David
Liapis of the Mountain Home Air Force Base, (208) 828-2382 or (208)
828-6800.
